Jakarta KPKP-IPB Cooperates in Maritime and Animal Husbandry Fields

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department signs cooperation agreement with Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) regarding maritime, animal husbandry, and animal health at Jakarta KPKP Department Office, Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Central Jakarta.

"This agreement is signed to follow up Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that have been done by Jakarta Governor and IPB Rector on last Monday at City Hall," said Darjamuni, Jakarta KPKP Department Head, Monday (1/28).
According to him, cooperation in maritime and fishery is to update condition of the ecosystem under the sea, maintenance for whale skeleton, and Community-Based Marine Protected Area (DPL-BM) management in Thousand Islands.
KPKP Department-IPB to Do Collaborative Analysis on Food SecurityIn animal husbandry, KPKP Department wants to cooperate in giving training and competency test for halal slaughterers and animal husbandry development. He expects his side to cooperate directly with experts in animal husbandry.
"It could be a good chance for us to develop animal husbandry and maritime in general," he conveyed.
After signing this agreement, both sides have agreed to hold workshop to give knowledge and solve the problems that related to maritime and animal husbandry.
"We use this chance optimally thus it can be matched with what is
developed in IPB," he stated.IPB Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty (FPIK) Dean, Luky Adrianto appreciates this cooperation. His side will give its best to cooperate with Jakarta KPKP Department.
"I guess this trust shouldn't be wasted. We are ready to help to fulfill their needs," he asserted.
